Coach Koga is in his first year on the Combs staff.  He will work primarily with the freshmen in 2011. 

Coach Koga brings over 15 years of youth football coaching experience to the Coyotes.  He helped organize a Pop Warner league in Brentwood, California, then  coached Pop Warner football for 15 years at the Midget and Junior Midget  levels.  Coach Koga also worked with wide receivers and defensive backs at a high school in Brentwood California.

Coach Koga grew up in Hawaii on the Island of Kauai.  After two years of college, Coach Koga joined the United States Air force and was trained in electronics communications.  While in the Air Force Coach Koga received his advanced degree in electronics and later a BSBA from Columbia State University in management. He spent 13 months in Vietnam as a communications specialist taking care of radars for ground troops and pilots. After four years in the Air force Coach Koga went on to work for IBM, Sun Microsystems and PCS, Inc..

Coach Koga has five boys who played football, basketball, tennis, volleyball and wrestling, so he plenty of youth sports experience as a coach and father.  Coach Koga also has a daughter who was involved in soccer, softball and cheer squad.

Coach Koga has been battling cancer and has been successful in doing so for two years now.
