Biology and Biosystems I are inquiry based laboratory course that emphasizes essential concepts with real world applications. Students will explore topics such as ecology, evolution, classification and diversity, cell theory, cell processes, genetics, and human biology. Biosystems will learn the same concepts but spanned over a 2 year course instead of 1 year. If your child is enrolled in BioSystems I this year they must enroll in BioSystems II next year. Laboratory experiments are enhanced by 21st century skills, such as scientific inquiry, data analysis, and critical thinking.
