Course Info:
Algebra I:
Algebra 1 students will use the language of algebra; its vocabulary, symbols, and reasoning to solve problems, describe relationships and patterns, and apply algebra to represent real-life situations. Using algebraic, numerical, and graphical representations, students will solve problems and acquire the algebraic foundation and skills necessary for Geometry and Algebra 2.
Algebra I (Honors):
Honors Algebra 1 explores mathematical concepts at a faster pace and a greater depth and breadth than Algebra 1. Areas of extension include the use of graphing calculators and writing and using algebraic models to solve real-life problems. This rigorous course is designed to prepare students who excel in mathematics for future honors courses.
