From Chicago to Buffalo to Arizona....

My long journey has ended here in Arizona.  I was born in Florence, South Carolina and lived in Sylvania, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; and Buffalo, New York.  Graduating from Northern Illinois University in May of 2004 with a Bachelors of Science in Education Degree, I was planning on becoming what I had always dreamed of- a physical education teacher and coach.  I then started working in the restaurant business where I became manager, general manager, and eventually owned my own restaurant in Cheektowaga, New York, right outside of Buffalo. A fire inside was still burning- I wanted to and needed to teach and coach, so I sold everything and started a new life here in Arizona.  I LOVE sports and believe that physical activity and sports only HELP our children's lives.  I have coached basketball and baseball in Illinois and have worked for the Buffalo Bills.  I am a HUGE Chicago Cubs, Buffalo Bills, and Buffalo Sabres fan!!

This is my second year at Combs High School.  Last year I taught Inclusion in the Special Education Department and now I am teaching Driver Education and Physical Education.  I BLEED THE COLORS OF THE COMBS COYOTES!!!  You can find me coaching Varsity Football, Junior Varsity Basketball and Freshman Baseball.  I am also in the process of graduating with a Masters Degree in Physical Education from Arizona State University this Summer and then in the Fall I will begin my Masters Degree in Educational Administration.  As you can read I am busy, but so very proud and grateful to be teaching and coaching at Combs High School!!!
