About Me
Professional Life
In October of 2000, I left the country to spend two years in Venezuela. While in the country I found that the 3 years of high school German were useless. Spanish was the language spoken by the people and I was forced to learn the language by necessity. I fell in love with the Spanish language as I began to communicate with the Venezuelan people. Upon returning home, I did not find many opportunities to speak Spanish and missed it. I, therefore, decided to study Spanish in college.
I began my studies at Rancho Santiago Community College in Orange, CA in 2003. I brushed up on my Spanish basics there, and received my Associate's degree there in Liberal Arts in 2005. I then went to California State University in Fullerton and received my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish in 2007. I stayed at the same institution to receive my California Secondary Teacher Credential in Spanish in the Fall of 2008.
Immediate following my formal education I was hired as a Spanish teacher at the brand new Combs High School. I transferred my credential to be valid in Arizona and began my career at this magnificent school.
Personal Life
At home, I have a wonderful wife of 2.5 years and an infant son who doesn't seem to ever stop growing. They are my life and the reason I teach during the day.
Other than Spanish, my interests lie in music, where I focus my talent in vocal performance. I have no formal training but hope to soon remedy that.
