Welcome
Believe it or not, mathematics is found all around us. Most of us will interact with math on a daily basis, even in such simple ways as driving a car or paying for food. Some of us, teachers, engineers, architects and mechanics to name a few, will use math more extensively as part of our jobs. The bottom line though is this, if you plan on using money you need math.
I know most people are asking, "but Mr. Bruney why do I have to study Algebra (Geometry, Trigonometry, etc..)". Here are two things to consider. The first is you never know what career field you may end up in. Sometimes what you plan to do in life is not what you end up doing. The second is this. Studying math teaches us how to solve problems and think critically. These are skills that go beyond manipulating numbers and touch every aspect of our lives.
I hope that you find this site useful. It is a work in progress so check back often. Please feel free to contact me with questions or suggestions.
