Honor's Algebra
Course Content
Honor's Algebra is a freshman level course and meets the algebra requirement for graduation. Topics studied in this course include:
- Review of Pre-algebra topics
- Real number system
- Polynomials
- Signed numbers
- Solving equations and word problems
- Graphing equations and inequalities
The biggest differences between Algebra and Honor's Algebra are an accelerated pace and a greater focus on the rationale behind the math. Topics are studied in greater depth and students are asked to expand the learning beyond simple problem solving.
