Honor's Geometry

Course Content

Honor's Geometry is a sophomore level course and is required for graduation. Topics studied in this course include:

  • Logical reasoning and constructing proofs
  • Study and classification of polygons
  • Congruence & similarity
  • Triangle relationships and the trigonometric ratios
  • Coordinate Geometry
  • Lines, angles & planes

The biggest differences between Geometry and Honor's Geometry are an accelerated pace and a greater focus on the rationale behind the math. Topics are studied in greater depth and students are asked to expand the learning beyond simple problem solving.
