About Mrs. M. Brown
I graduated from Bemidji State University in Minnesota. I have a bachelors degree in Physical Education and I am K-12 licensed. I have had 13 years of dance. My sister Pat was my dance teacher and she owned 6 dance studios in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I took, tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hard-toe-ballet, and gymnastics. I have performed in many shows and competed in many states with all of the dance types.
I graduated from High School and joined the Army for 6 years where I helped choreograph Military Cadence. I met my Husband in the Army, and he is originally from the British Army and was born in Scotland. I have been married for 18 years, and I have two sons, My first son I had born in Scotland where I lived for 3 years with my husband overseas. I moved back to the United States and went to College m=with my GI Bill.
I took many theatre courses, and dance courses along with sports and physical education. I have had 5 years of Ballroom dancing combined with all the modern day dancing.
My goal is to teach students a variety of dance that all students can have a chance to discover what they like to do, and what they might be good at doing. Dancing should be for everyone and there is always some type of dance that everyone can enjoy or feel successful doing. I believe in the competition, as well as the fun aspects of dance and allow students to have fun and enjoy performing in shows that have a variety of dance that the students can show everyone what they have learned.
