Classroom Safety Rules

SpongeBob Safety Activity

Grading is based on a students' ability to demonstrate mastery of each learning objective presented in a two week unit. Students are given a packet of information which is delivered as a combination of self-taught content and teacher directed laboratory activities that reinforce the content. Before the end of the two week period, students must complete all laboratory activities and receive a 100% on the self-test in order to receive a unit test on the designated test day. Students are then given two weeks from the designated test day to take the a unit test, receive their score, and complete learning activities necessary to re-take the unit test to demonstrate mastery.

Students are expected to use class time wisely for reading, completing mastery practice, asking questions, completing labs, and working in study groups. Misconduct in the lab area and disruption of other students' learning environment are not tolerated at any time.

Students are encouraged to attend tutoring during Coyote Skills or by appointment after school to seek extra help; meet in study groups; or take/retake unit tests.
